Entry Fee
Your participation to the race is paid and secured by RunninGreece.

Deadline registration
Registration is open until 1st of September 2019 or until a specific number of participants is reached. Participation can be obtained via online registration.

Route
The starting and finish line of all races are in Poseidonion square in front of the imposing Poseidonion Grand Hotel (center of the island)
Swimming Competition
5.000m Course ( Spetses – Kosta-Spetses)
Participants will start from the Poseidonion square pier, will reach Kosta and then, swim back to Spetses. During this course, swimmers are not allowed to wear flippers.
3.000m km Course ( Kosta – Spetses)
Participants will be transferred by traditional boats to Kosta, and swim back to Spetses (Poseidonion square dock is the finish point). During this course, swimmers that will have stated so, will be allowed to wear flippers.

Health Coverage
In any case all runners participate solely at their own risk. The organizers have no responsibility for whatever happens to the runners related to health issues or is due to lack of preventive medical check. It is highly recommended that the participants undergo a thorough medical examination before entering the race. The organizers will not ask for medical certificates from any athlete (male and female), since they all participate at their own exclusive risk and responsibility (children are at the liability of their parents or guardians). We will also provide offers for special health checkup for all runners, and members of their families.

Electronic Timing
All participants will be timed by a timing company using an electronic timing system. For this reason, the runners must wear the timing chip they will receive from the registration center together with the participation number. Attention: Your time will not be registered and will not be included in the results if you do not have the timing chip attached to your shoe and not pass over the timing mats.

Aid Stations
Along the route of the Mini Marathon and the race of 5km will be stations to support the runners. At the start and finish stations and at the runners support stations bottled water and sports drinks will be available to all attendees.

Awards
Medal and diploma are awarded to each of the first three winners of the general classification Men and Women. To all the runners who will finish the race a commemorative medal and a diploma of participation will be given.

Spetses Island Greece is the most remote of the Greek Argo Saronic islands. Spetses is an attractive pine-clad island that is not huge, but big enough to offer a range of activities to keep everyone happy. Secluded, hidden coves with sparkling clear seas or beaches close to waterfront hotels and pensions; lots of tavernas to choose from with friendly service and traditional hospitality.

It is one of the nine European cities that participates in the European Network of Historical Reconstructions and one of the most popular Greek Islands, particularly when it comes to weekend excursions. Located at the south end of the Argo Saronic Gulf, Spetses have the privilege of being approachable both by sea and land.

The island of Spetses is small but is nationally recognized for its valuable contribution to the Greek revolution of 1821. The island has managed to retain its individual traditional character thanks to its well-preserved grand captain mansions, still bearing eloquent witness to the island’s glorious past. The picturesque old harbour and Dápia, a tourist and commercial centre where the heart of the island’s entertainment beats, are the trademarks of the town of Spetses.

The rich history and naval tradition of the island is reflected on numerous sites that are definitely worth visiting such as: The House of Bouboulina, the House of Hatzigiannis Mexis, the Church of Panayia Armata, the Cathedral of Ayios Nikolaos, the Clock in Rologioú Square, and the Anargyreios Korgialeneios School.

At the beaches of the island the visitor, apart from swimming and fishing, has the ability to engage in sea sports and activities such as water skiing, canoe, wind surfing, wakeboard, tubes, banana, water bicycle, Daily cruises ,free diving and others.
Those who love hiking or cycling can meet the beautiful beaches of Spetses through the peripheral parallel to the shores- road or the backland with the plantation of pines and the church going uphill towards Prophet Elias, the highest top of the island. Other choices are the circumnavigation of Spetses and of Spetsopoula, as well as the visit to the neighboring islands Hydra and Poros but also to Argolida.
