The 1st Ierapetra Half Marathon was successfully held on Sunday 25^th of August 2013.The hot weather did not discourage anyone and athletes from all parts of Greece and abroad participated in a demanding race.

The athletes started at 17:30 from the Mosque Ierapetra and after crossing in front of the Venetian fortress "Kalles" crossed the town and headed east and then north to the beautiful villages of the Plain (Vainia Lower Village, Upper Village, Episkopi, Kentri) and finished in the same spot.

There were more than one hundred participants while the winner made it 1:22:57.

Many congratulations to all the participants, finishers and organizers.

The next Ierapetra Half Marathon will take place next August and we will surely participate!
